New to Blogging

Well, here goes nothing.  In an attempt to keep a snapshot of our life I have decided to try something new, to blog.  Someone told me that if I don't scrapbook I should at least blog, so here it is.  I am excited to learn something new.

This life has been an adventure, and since Lorna was born it has definetly picked up speed.  I am going to try and do a quick recap.

This is proud Daddy right after Lorna's long awaited arrival September 4, 2008.  As the Lord would have it, she was born 10 years to the day that my grandmother (whom she is named for, Lorna Joan Ellis Young) went home to be with the Lord.  Her name was decided before she came and as she came a little early (due the 10th) I had not thought about this possibility when we named her.  Lorna Jane Lindley.  The Jane is from Hamilton's side of the family.   Neither of us met her, but we heard such wonderful things it seemed appropriate, and Jane means "God is gracious" which is quite fitting.  After 3 and a half years of infertility issues God was gracious and gave us Lorna!

This is from our first Christmas with our little Lorna.  She was such a happy and content smiley baby!

May of 2009, Lorna with my sweet Granny before she went home to be with the Lord. Granny LOVED children, and I am so blessed she was able to play with mine!!!
